We also recently supported the Grace Trahan event last Friday on behalf of the Holy Family Ministry as well. Our next big event is the Parish Picnic. All the Best to you and your families!

2010 Men's Club Lenten Prayer Breakfast on 3/13
Men,
We've had quite a busy start to the new year thus far, with good attendance at the Superbowl party up at the K of C in January, and again for Food Link at SJA last month.
As many of you are already aware, we are hosting the Men's Club Lenten Prayer Breakfast this Saturday morning, March 13th, at 8 am. Father Guy will give a talk about the spiritual challenges of Saints Peter and Paul after Mass, and we should be done with the program by 10 am. We will begin with Mass in the chapel, with breakfast and the talk following in Doyle Hall. Again, we had upwards of 30 men at the Advent Prayer Breakfast in early December, and are upt to 25 RSVPs for this one thus far! Please contact me via e-mail at pachciarz@sbcglobal.net or on my mobile at 361-9055, if you would like to attend. Feel welcome to invite a friend!
In addition, in lieu of asking for good will donations to cover expenses of the breakfast, we will be accepting donations to help the Kelly family meet their looming medical expenses due to Tim's recent battle with brain cancer. If you can not make the prayer breakfast, and would like to contribute, please contact me directly to make other arrangements.
In Christ,
Barry

SJA Men's Club update
Men of the Parish:
Thanks to all who attended our recent meeting at the Pawn Shop Pub! We had a lot of great conversation and feedback regarding upcoming events for the club this Fall.
Men's Club Basketball night will begin again on Sunday, October 18th, from 8 - 10 pm, and will meet every Sunday evening thereafter through the Spring;
An Advent Prayer Breakfast for the men of the Parish has been scheduled for Saturday, December 5th at 8 am. We will begin with Mass, followed by breakfast. Afterward, Father Guy will speak to us about our roles as men as witnessed by Joseph, John the Baptist and Zechariah;
30 Men's Club logo golf shirts are also on order, so we can begin wearing them at various SJA events and activities. Please let me know what size you would like. We are initially paying for the first order out of our current treasury balance, but will supplement with occasional fund-raising efforts as they present themselves.
Regarding fundraisers, we agreed to assist the athletic commission with their 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament tentatively scheduled for October 10th to benefit the school athletics' programs. An organizational meeting has been scheduled for 7:30 pm on Wednesday, September 16th, at the Pawn Shop Pub;
The Indiana Catholic Men's Conference is Saturday, October 17th, at the Indiana Convention Center. See the following website for more details - http://www.mariancenterofindianapolis.com/mensconference/, and please contact Joe Rivelli at joemrivelli@sbcglobal.net to register if you are interested. I've personally attended the last three years, and it was definitely worth my while;
Mary Anne Schaefer has asked the Men's Club for volunteers to help out with a Health Fair that SJA is sponsoring on Sunday, 10/18. Her e-mail is mschaefer123@indy.rr.com if you are available.
The next general interest meeting will be at 8 pm, on Thursday, September 24th, at Moe and Johnny's.
October is another busy month! It was goo to see everyone at French Market last Saturday as well!
Peace,
Barry
